2012 Summer Institute Application (pdf)
TheĀ CDWP Invitational Summer Institute is open to teachers at any grade level and in any content area.
Interested teachers should complete the online application form or download an application form and submit it via regular mail. (Follow the links above to access the online application form or download an application.)
Applicants should submit a brief essay (1000-1500 words) explaining their interest in participating in the summer institute and describing what they would bring to the project as a teacher and writer. Applicants may also submit an additional writing sample of their own choice. In addition, applicants should submit a supporting letter from a department head, principal, or colleague in a similar administrative position.
Criteria for Selection to the CDWP Summer Institute
CDWP is looking for committed, energetic, and successful teachers who have:
- at least two years of teaching experience
- a commitment to deepening their understanding of teaching and learning
- an interest in writing and enthusiasm for both writing and teaching
- a desire to develop a greater understanding of writing and writing pedagogy
- an openness to learning
Timetable for Applications for the CDWP Summer Institute
- Completed applications are accepted through April 7, 2012.
- Interviews with selected applicants held in late April, 2012.
- Selected applicants notified by May 1, 2012.
