CDWP’s Writing Lesson Exchange is an annual workshop, held in the spring, at which teachers from throughout the Capital Region come together to share ideas for effective writing lessons.
The Writing Lesson Exchange is open to teachers at any grade level and in all content areas. It is an informal workshop at which teachers exchange lessons that they have developed to help their students become more effective writers.
There is no cost to attend the Writing Lesson Exchange. Refreshments will be provided.
The 2011 Writing Lesson Exchange will be held on May 18th, at 4:30 p.m. in the East Greenbush Public Library. To register, contact Sandra Silva, the Writing Lesson Exchange Coordinator, at ssilva@taconichills.k12.ny.us.
When registering please include:
o Your name
o The grade level you teach
o The district you work in
o A write-up of your lesson (step-by-step instructions of how to teach your lesson so that another teacher would be able to replicate it in their own room. No stress; it can be brief!)
Each participating teacher will receive a packet that has every lesson presented to be used in your own classroom! Feel free to bring any samples of student work that went along with your lesson to show as an example.
